Are you a market research data-guru? Do you get excited about fielding a conjoint study to optimize product development or enjoy using regression analysis to help management spot key opportunities?

The Sr. Analyst, Quantitative Market Research will be a quantitative research professional who interacts with a variety of businesses across ASSA ABLOY Americas, uncovering customer needs and research insights that drive business success.

Bottom line? Here’s a chance to use your skills in sample management, survey construction, and statistical analysis to keep the company connected to customers—and be part of a team challenging the organization to look for new ways to create value. This is a hybrid position that allows WFM flexibility, but also has some in-office requirements.

Summary: The Sr. Analyst, Quantitative Market Research will be a quantitative research professional who interacts with Product Management, Marketing, and R&D teams across ASSA ABLOY Americas, discovering customer requirements and research insights that drive business success.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential function satisfactorily. 

  • Rigorous thinker, with a passion for quantitative research methodologies—and an ability to translate this vision into best-in-class research.
  • Assists in problem formulation by consulting with multiple stakeholders to identify key questions, analyze issues, and translate information needs into research objectives.
  • Plans research projects by designing primary research and hands-on data collection; managing budgets, timelines and resources as needed.
  • Leads sample management, establishing lists for survey research from various sources, and insuring ongoing list hygiene in line with GDPR.
  • Partners with Customer Experience Manager to sustain and evolve current NPS®/Customer Satisfaction tracking, helping the organization drive change through better understanding of customer needs.
  • Completes other research studies, including Segmentation (Latent Class, etc.), Feature/Pricing/Portfolio optimization (Conjoint, MaxDiff, TURF, etc.), Needs assessment, Path-to-Purchase research, Value Proposition development, Positioning and Messaging research, etc., taking projects from scoping through tabulation.
  • Provides accurate data, from tables to charts that summarize data analysis, relating it to business challenges to produce actionable insights.
  • Acts as customer advocate by challenging the organization to look for better ways to create value, keeping the business and its managers connected to customers and users so that they understand how to meet or exceed market expectations.


Requirements

Qualifications:

 Education:

  • BS/BA degree in market research, business, statistics, behavioral or other social science.
  • Masters degree a plus.
  • Or equivalent combination of education and experience. 

 Experience:

  • 4+ years of quantitative, market research experience, including both behavioral and attitudinal studies.
  • Hands-on experience in design, execution and reporting of primary research techniques including crosstabs/banners, cluster/factor analysis, regression/driver modelling, segmentation, conjoint analysis, etc..
  • Proficiency with Research programming platforms (e.g. Qualtrics, Decipher/Forsta, Alchemer, etc.), Statistical/analytical software (e.g. SPSS, Wincross, Q, R, Tableau, Alteryx, etc.) and List management tools (e.g. Access, Excel, SQL), as well as Microsoft Office suite (esp. Excel). Experience with Power BI or SalesForce CRM is a bonus.
  • Demonstrated ability to understand complex business issues and advise on actionable research methods to address them.
  • Analytical skills to assess, interpret and translate from multiple data sources to create cogent themes and narratives.
  • Some B2B (durable goods or manufacturing) experience, either agency or client-side, is a bonus
